Week 2 of the 2021 version of Friday Night Martini. Closing out the first full week of the year and we are off to a roaring start. An attempted presidential coup, general Trump hysteria and lunacy, and a hectic pace of work activities in our sprint to hold the difficult timeline we have challenged ourselves with.
But each Monday morning, I keep in mind that a good meal and a few drinks awaits on the weekend.
Sometimes a beer just sounds right. So that’s what I had at Luxe on Friday night. A fine crisp hazy pale ale.
It was pretty quiet so I was able to read the papers and enjoyed a good comfort meal.
I had mussels with a nice fennel sausage broth and then mac and cheese with a fried chicken thigh. All around easy, quiet and peaceful dinner.
I was negligent on getting a picture of the mac-n-cheese but trust that it was good.
