Day 1

First FNM of the year. Guess it’s on. And, fitting to the COVID situation, it was a home martini.

Since it’s January 1, I had to have all the good luck foods; pork, sauerkraut, black-eyed peas. Pretty sure I did not follow these rules last year and that is why 2020 fell apart. So I was not going to make that mistake again.

First FNM with Pops in the house. He’s a welcome addition. Calm. Gentle. Distinguished. A fine addition to the kingdom. Not much of a martini man though.

Belvedere vodka with a touch of Lillet.

Here’s to hoping for a more enjoyable and less anxiety-laden year ahead.
