I ate at The Barn when I first moved to Columbus a couple of years ago. I am perpetually on the lookout for good steakhouses. But I was unimpressed on that first visit and the second visit was no better. The Barn is simply unexceptional in every respect. Service is average, food is okay but over-priced, and the decor is more reminiscent of a Cracker Barrel than a serious steakhouse. Actually, and this is heresy to say in Columbus, but I find Cameron Mitchell restaurants in generally massively over-rated. Not sure how be became king of Columbus but I am generally speaking not impressed with his places.
Best part about this night was that it was a rare warm day and so I was able to ride my motorcycle. And, the martini was good, so no complaints there. It was such a nice evening, that before dinner I stopped and had a smoke and a Stella.
