Quiet martini tonight. I got into my hotel at this ski resort around 5:00 and was at the restaurant by 7:00. I would have gotten here earlier but I wasted 45 minutes going through the various wings of the hotel looking for the two bars that were advertised. Shockingly, one was closed for renovation and the other is only open from 8:00 – 10:30. Crazy shit. So I came to the restaurant an hour before my reservation and got my table and had a couple of martinis.
I was the lone diner at the restaurant. This is a family oriented resort (hence the lack of bars) and the buffet restaurant had a line going around the corner.
As I said, a quiet martini night.
Next week I will be in NYC for martini and the week after Johannesburg. Lots of hang time at 36K.
