A rare home martini night. And a good one. Made special by my whole family turning up along with a few friends. I was in Japan for the two weeks before and leaving on Sunday for 3 more weeks in Japan, so everyone was kind enough to meet at my house for a get together.
Larry came up Thursday night and helped prep out food and get the house ready. I worked from home and was busier than expected so we were still working on dinner when people started showing.
Martini’s were hurried and only Larry and I were takers. But a delicious Ketel One with a small drop of Lillet Blanc liqueur. Regular olives, chilled glasses. We drank while finishing dinner.
Terri made excellent pulled pork sliders with Asian slaw. Larry and I worked hangar steak with chimichurri sauce and grilled vegetables. Larry made a big bowl of hummus for a starter and we had cheeses, salad, and chilled shrimp.
All around terrific night.
Stephanie came with Chad and Brody and Sukanti came with Pete and Sony.
For some reason, after multiple drinks, it seemed to make sense to see who was tallest and of course we had to use the wall to mark everyone’s height. Pete won.
