I made a trip down to visit with my lovely and long-time friend Laetitia. And as a bonus we were able to meet up with Sebastian and his fiancé for dinner and drinks after at their house. I was even invited to their wedding which will be on the French Riviera in June of next year.
Laetitia worked for me in Paris all those years ago – circa 1999 – 2002. I have known her son Sebastian since he was 10 or so. We bonded over a love of music. Sebastian is a terrific musician and singer. I bought him Van Morrison’s ‘Avalon Sunset’ CD and we became friends from that time forward.
It was a great visit. Laetitia is a gracious host and has a beautiful apartment in the 10th arrondissement. Paris is very special at Christmas so we did a lot of walking around. I bought a beautiful set of Laguiole steak knives and a mushroom hunting knife for Larry.
